Regional Recovery Event 9/23/2016 in Huntington, WV

A free community-wide recovery celebration, Recovery for a Change, will be held Friday, September 23 from 5 to 9pm at Harris Riverfront Park in Huntington WV to celebrate National Recovery Month.  The public event is generously sponsored by Moses AutoMall of Huntington. There will be live music, inflatables and activities for kids, food vendors, inspiring recovery stories, and a recovery time count for all individuals present in recovery. The community is invited to come out to enjoy the event and hear the stories of individuals in recovery and the families impacted. 

Recovery for a Change is the first event of its kind bringing together several community groups focused on helping individuals suffering from substance use disorder to achieve recovery. The following groups have worked together to plan this event: Life House, Newness of Life, Addiction Recovery Center, Warriors for Hope, Celebrate Recovery, The Rock, Within Reach WV, Acadia Healthcare, Recovery Point of Huntington, and Prestera Center.  T-shirts will be available for $10, and the proceeds of all sales will be split between the planning organizations.
