Overdose Awareness Day, 8/31/18

A ceremony to commemorate Overdose Awareness Day will be held on Friday, August 31, 2018 from 1:00 pm to 2:30pm at Prestera at Pinecrest, 5600 US Rt 60 East in Huntington WV (25705).  We will remember people lost to overdoses and inpsire hope by sharing progress in our community.  Brief comments will be followed by training on recognizing an overdose and using the opioid overdose reversal drug, naloxone, in conjunction with free naloxone distribution for everyone completing the training.  Training is sponsored by the Cabell-Huntington Health Department.  The event is free and open to the public, come and bring a friend.
