2019 Michael Prestera Award of Excellence Winner - William "Bill" Mullett

Prestera Center Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer are pleased to announce the winning nomination for the annual Michael Prestera Award of Excellence. This prestigious award recognizes individuals whose contributions have resulted in reducing stigma or improving services or supports for persons with mental health and/or substance use problems in Cabell, Mason, Lincoln, Wayne, Kanawha, Clay, Boone or Putnam counties in West Virginia.
William “Bill” Mullett, Ph.D., of Charleston, WV is the 2019 Michael Prestera Award of Excellence award winner.Bill Mullett currently serves as the Chairman of the Foundation Board of Trustees and the President of the Prestera Center Board. He is retired from Kanawha County Board of Education. He has volunteered countless hours supporting Prestera Center through his involvement with the two boards and various committees. He is an advocate for persons with behavioral health problems and he has dedicated his life and career to children and young adults through school-based counseling. Bill is truly a person that embodies the spirit of Michael Prestera who founded and supported the organization when it was formed.
