Employee Assistance Program

According to EAP America, for every dollar invested in an assistance program, employers can save anywhere from $5 to $15. Employers who recognize the ever-increasing costs associated with Worker’s Compensation claims, health care, lost wages due to absenteeism and lowered productivity will also understand the logic of using an EAP to reduce liability and promote wellness in the workplace.

The caring staff of Prestera counselors, therapists, and other behavioral health professionals has helped troubled workers from a variety of businesses and companies across our region find their way back to a more productive, full life.

EAP services are provided in a confidential, professional manner, each plan is specifically customized to meet the needs of your company and health care plan.

It is a simple fact of life in today’s workplace that employees don’t leave their problems at home when they come to work.

That’s why Prestera Center offers Employee Assistance Programs to employers. The goals of an EAP are:
• identify troubled employees
• motivate them to seek and accept help
• assess the employee’s situation
• co-develop a plan of action
• assist the employee in getting the help they need to return to a normal, healthy life

Employers can no longer adhere to the adage “What an employee does after hours is no concern to me.” Successful, enlightened businesses must commit to meeting Employee Assistance head on. Without attention, some problems facing troubled workers can worsen and resulting poor productivity and poor work quality, conflicts with co-workers and supervisors, tardiness, absenteeism, and problems with morale.
