Program DescriptionThe Crisis Residential Unit (CRU) is an eight (8) bed inpatient psychiatric facility for adults 18 and older. This voluntary program provides a safe, intensive treatment environment for those experiencing an acute mental health crisis. The crisis unit is utilized to prevent psychiatric hospitalization and has also been used to step-down consumers from the hospital setting. Treatment planning and assessments are completed upon admission to address any issues that have triggered the current crisis.The Crisis Stabilization Unit (CRU) provides a safe, intensive treatment environment for those experiencing a mental health crisis and/or those needing immediate medication adjustment to prevent psychiatric deterioration or exacerbation of symptoms. The CRU is utilized to prevent psychiatric hospitalizations or can serve as a step down from the hospital level of care. Crisis stabilizations services include:
