You Are Invited: A Discussion of Juvenile Justice, Mental Health & Education
Tuesday, September 13th 2016, 5PM – 7PM, Marshall University Memorial Student Center.
Over the last 16 years, youth confinement has declined in almost every state except West Virginia, where the confinement rate has grown by almost 50 percent. Join panelists from the juvenile justice, mental health and public education sectors as they discuss ways our state can shift its focus and resources from incarceration and institutionalization to prevention and intervention, so kids can stay in their own schools, homes and communities. Audience participation, especially from families and teens, is encouraged.
